Diwali, directly translated, means “row of lamps”, and is celebrated in the Sikh, Hindu and Jain religions. It is observed in most parts of the world, and is an official holiday in many countries.  Falling at the end of October or early November, Diwali is a celebration associated with the harvest, and at this presentation we will learn about the origins, traditions, and customs associated with this festival, popularly known as the “Festival of Lights”.
