For beginner through intermediate: This series will build on your French conversation skills.

Memorabilia and Monarchy:  Royal Family Souvenirs and Commemorations
A multi-generational program celebrating our heritage and the first in a series of programs celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee:  features souvenirs, personal memorabilia and mass market items produced over the years to celebrate the Queen – from coins to tea sets, serving trays to coffee table books, music, arts and media. from the collections of citizens.

Royal souvenirs have enjoyed a popularity that has grown over hundreds of years. Royal keepsakes have been handed down from generation to generation. What are Royal memorabilia, and why do we purchase and cherish mementos with the images or insignias of the Royal Family? Commemorating the Queen's Jubilee Year, this illustrated talk will look at the meanings and the ever-growing variety of Royal souvenirs. Everyone is encouraged to bring their favourite mementos.

Wellness Programs

(held at Lifetime Learning Gym at Fraserview School, 32444 7th Ave, Mission BC.)

Fitness Classes

Specialty and Therapeutic fitness for seniors and third age!
50 minutes of music, fun and good exercise, with some weight strengthening too.  Our class is designed for all levels and is especially useful for people with joint disorders such as osteoporosis and arthritis; we teach flexibility, strength training, light weights and relaxation to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle and to stay mobile and independent.  Chairs are provided for the class.     
Fee: 10 classes for $32; $42 non-members
Dates: On-going, Tuesdays and Thursdays at: 9:10 a.m.

Osteofit I & II
50 minute programs especially designed for people with osteoporosis who are at an increased risk for fracture or who already have had one or more fractures. Each class has an educational & social component; informational handouts are provided (class size is limited). Please note: Osteo fitness classes do not replace the care of a physiotherapist. Always consult your physician before beginning an exercise program.
Choose either Level 1 or Level 2.

Osteofit I Tuesday & Thurday 11–11:50am
Intended to give people with osteoporosis the opportunity to begin an exercise program suitable for their needs and provide a place to meet other people with osteoporosis in a social activity.
Fee: 10 classes - $37 members / $47 non-members

Osteofit II Tuesday & Thurday 10:10am–11:00am
For those who have already taken the Level 1 program.
Fee: 10 classes - $37 members / $47 non-members

 Chair Yoga With Norine
This fun fitness class is for anyone wanting to improve their mobility and flexibility as well as Increase circulation, improve focus and move beyond perceived limitations.  Whether you are wheel chair or chair bound, recovering from surgery, have limited mobility – you can still do yoga. 
Stretches, gentle strengthening, breathing techniques, and visualization will all help you to increase your mobility at any level. Join us and feel better after the 1st class!
